Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026 • Version 1.2
1. Introduction & Open Source Core
Bloom Platform ("Bloom", "we", "us", or "our") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. The Bloom Framework (bloom_core) and Bloom UI (bloom_ui) are 100% open-source software distributed under the MIT license.
When you use the Bloom CLI or compile Bloom components locally on your workstation, all code generation, widget rendering, and AST parsing occur strictly on your local machine. We do not transmit your proprietary source code or local project assets to any remote servers.
2. Bloom Cloud & OTA Patch Telemetry
When using Bloom Cloud Over-The-Air (OTA) deployment services (bloom deploy --ota), we collect and process the following necessary data to facilitate patch delivery:
- Release & Patch Metadata: App version, release build number, patch hash, target platform (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, Web), and channel (production, staging, preview).
- Client Health & Telemetry: Anonymized patch download success/failure status, crash telemetry associated with patched code paths, and patch adoption rates for automated rollback triggers.
- IP & Network Headers: Temporarily processed at our globally distributed edge nodes strictly for geo-routing, DDoS prevention, and rate limiting.
3. Anonymous CLI & Web Telemetry
To prioritize feature development and discover build failure patterns across Flutter versions, the Bloom CLI collects minimal, anonymized usage telemetry (e.g. command names run such as bloom build or bloom ui add, OS architecture, and Dart SDK version).
# You can completely opt out of CLI telemetry at any time:
bloom config set telemetry false
4. Cookies & Browser Local Storage
Our website and documentation portal use browser sessionStorage and localStorage solely to remember functional user preferences:
- Dark Mode / Light Mode theme state
- Documentation sidebar scroll position and open accordion categories across page transitions
- Interactive Theme Generator style token configurations
We do not use tracking cookies or sell your browsing history to third-party ad brokers.
5. Contact & Privacy Inquiries
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise data rights, please open a discussion on our official repository or contact the core maintainers:
